International Sales and Relationships

Saudi Arabia and UAE: EOS was the subject of extensive investigation by the ABC (Dylan Welsh) in 2018 and 2019. Evidence was found at Sydney airport that they were selling the R200 directly to Saudi Arabia. And dozens of units had gone already to UAE.

The UAE had an Australian General as head of their special forces (the Presidential Guard), Mike Hindmarsh. Presumably he is involved in the acquisitions.

#StopArmingSaudi became a hashtag used at this time

The AACC, Australian Arms Control Coalition formed in this year to attend to this issue of arms to Saudi, despite the signing in 2015 of the Arms Control Treaty which prohibits sale of weapons to countries committing HRV and war crimes.

Indonesia: EOS are in the Indonesian weapons market, selling via their US subsidiary.

EM Solutions

Brisbane-based EM Solutions has had a successful first year of ownership under EOS, with continued strong growth, new contract wins and significant technology development.

This year the company has delivered its tri-band Cobra satellite communications terminals into the Australian Navy’s Anzac frigate upgrade and new Offshore Patrol Vessel programs, and in November shipped the first of a series of Cobra terminals as part of a new AU$14 million order for three NATO Navies. EM Solutions has also recently received an AU$3 million order from a US prime contractor supplying manpack satellite terminals into a US Defense program. These terminals will incorporate EM Solutions’ Ka-band transceivers which are based on the same core technology that has been supplied over recent years into numerous maritime, airborne and land mobile platforms.
